COMMUNITY BLOOD AND FOOD DRIVE

With just fifteen minutes of your time, you might save a life.

PLEASE JOIN the U.S. Embassy and Red Cross of Skopje FOR A COMMUNITY BLOOD AND FOOD DRIVE

On Wednesday September 11, in commemoration of the tragic events of September 11, 2001,

the U.S. Embassy will host a blood and food donation event in collaboration with the Red Cross.

Blood donors will be gladly accepted at the U.S. Embassy from 10:30 to 16:30.

This event will help the Red Cross replenish blood supplies and provide needy

families with food and other necessities for the winter months ahead.

The process of blood donation should take less than twenty minutes from start to finish, including

registration, a brief medical check/questionnaire from the medical staff of Red Cross, donation of

blood, and a snack and drink to follow.

Donors must be between 18-65 years of age, and have not donated blood in the last 4 months for women or 3 months for men.  Donors must have resided in Macedonia for at least 6 months.

We will also be collecting non-perishable food items (see list below) and financial donations.  Please consider donating a food item, especially if you cannot donate blood.

We hope to see you there!
