2018 CEESA Assessment Summit, hosted by Nova

The 2018 CEESA Assessment Summit was hosted by Nova International School last week. It was a jam packed event with opportunities galore for those who are serious about their own learning, and especially for those who like to have fun while they are learning! Renowned educationalists presented key ideas from the world of International education. Ken O'Connor shared his experience in developing assessment practices that focus on learning, not grading. Amanda DeCardy stretched our thinking on how best to use MAP data, and our very own Rachel Deboys, HS Psychologist alongside Sandey Stayanoff, our new School Nurse engaged their participants in thinking about student well-being and its place in receiving a holistic experience. Additional sessions included Higher Order Thinking Skills, Instructional Coaching, Rethinking Homework, and Enhancing Student Learning through Feedback. All in all, we are honored to have been the host for this fantastic event, connecting educators from around the world, and learning together to improve the outcomes for our amazing students!
