Since the beginning of the academic year, Nova students, members of the Red Cross Group part of the Community Service Program, have visited the Red Cross shelter for homeless people in order to volunteer, donate resources, and try to make a difference in the community. The program has grown in scope with students gathering food, donating clothes and spending time with the homeless, while trying to understand how difficult life is for them. Their participation has triggered some students to take further action themselves and work hard on organizing additional food drives. The most successful one comes from two outstanding students Nikolaos Theodosiadis and Sofija Paneva, who in cooperation with the VERO chain of supermarkets, made it possible to deliver a truck load of food to the Red Cross shelter for homeless people.
