ADMISSIONS

NOVA believes in the endless potential of each student and therefore accepts students who exhibit a wide range of abilities without regard to race, religion, sex, and non-disqualifying handicap, national or ethnic origin. All new applicants need to present their unique personality through an application, submit formal records of prior educational attainment, and show strong family commitment to the school’s philosophy and program. Admission is granted based on a diagnostic English language and Math test and an interview with the applicant. Letters of recommendation from students’ previous teachers are considered to be an important part of the application.5 steps that lead to how to become a NOVA student.

STEP I

• Complete the application in block letters and with all details. Parent(s)/guardian(s) need to sign the application.
• Two of your current teachers to complete the recommendation letters (English language teacher, and a teacher of your choice). All references should be submitted in sealed envelopes and mailed directly to NOVA High School, Praska bb, Taftalidze I, Skopje. Although not required, references are highly recommended.
• Submit a copy of your birth certificate or passport (for foreign citizens).
• Submit copies of your transcripts from grades 5 through 7, as well as a copy of the 1st semester report card from 8th grade. If applying for grades 10, 11 or 12, submit copies of the previous year(s), as well as the most recent report card.
• Submit your latest photo (passport size).

STEP II

All prepared documents must be returned to NOVA High School with the application fee of € 80 prior to the admission testing date. This fee covers administrative support for the candidate including an interview in English, G-TELP (General Test of English Language Proficiency) and a diagnostic math test. Only fully completed application packets submitted with payments will be taken into consideration.

STEP III

NOVA Administration will inform you about the scheduled date and time of the G-TELP and diagnostic math tests. You will have 90 minutes to complete the G-TELP and 60 minutes for the math test. There is a 30 minute break between the two tests. Please bring with you the following items for the test session:

STEP IV

After the admission testing, each candidate is scheduled for an interview. The interview can take up to 30 minutes.

STEP V

You will be notified of the final decision no later than two weeks after the procedure has begun. After you are accepted, you will be asked to submit original documents.
