Kindergarten Program
Getting Ready
Our Kindergarten Program is designed to provide a continuation on the early education development process, with an emphasis on the child’s personal awareness, self-esteem and sense of autonomy, critical for success in further schooling and adult life.
The unique Kindergarten environment encourages our five year olds to become responsible class members, cooperative learners, and young researchers. The classroom is organized around learning centers where academic and social skills are developed through a range of age appropriate activities, with special emphasis on pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills. Our language program develops vocabulary, pre-reading and pre-writing skills. The math program covers the concept of numbers, teaches problem-solving skills, and measurement skills through the use of a variety of manipulative games. The science and social studies program encourages young learners to think creatively and become active explorers, both in their immediate environment, and the world around them. Our Kindergarten program also benefits from specialized instruction by qualified professionals in the arts, music, physical education, dance and technology.
