NOVA International School Skopje is a diverse learner community with students and staff from over 40 countries. It is the school of choice for the expat and diplomatic community in Skopje, as well as local families with a global outlook. It is an International Baccalaureate World Continuum school, following Common Core standards, to students in grades PK-12. The School was founded in 1997, the first registered private education institution in Skopje, N. Macedonia. The campus is spaciously situated in a residential neighborhood near the city center.

Our Upper Secondary Boys’ Volleyball Team Returns from Belgrade Triumphant!

🏐 Our SuperNOVA A-team has triumphed, winning first place and returning home as CEESA champions! In a thrilling display of high-level volleyball, they overcame top-tier opponents from Sofia with a 2-0 victory in the semifinals and Istanbul with a 3-1 win in the finals. A huge congratulations to the team for their hard work and dedication! While our B-team had a tough second day, their significant improvement since last year is something to be proud of. Congratulations to Peter, Daniel, Xhan, and Leon for being named to the all-tournament team!

Secondary School Hosts Pizza Party to Honor CEESA Tournament Accomplishments

🏆We had a blast at the Secondary School pizza party, celebrating our amazing coaches and students who gave their all in the Middle School girls’ and boys’ volleyball tournaments, Knowledge Bowl, and Math Counts! The event was a delicious success, filled with laughter and stories as we savored mouth-watering pizza. Even more so, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy as students and coaches reminisced about their commitment, hard work, and passion, leading to well-deserved medals and their newly forged, long-lasting friendships.

Student-led Club Medic Minds Organizes a Charitable Event for the Children's Hospital's Patients

🍪Students from the Medic Minds school club organized a heartwarming event: "Letter of Love.”This initiative involved writing personalized letters of comfort and hope for patients at the special children's hospital in Skopje. Partnering with the chocolate boutique La Ganache, they delivered unique letters and delicious chocolates, bringing genuine warmth and joy to the children and making their stay more pleasant.

NOVA Writing Pearls Promotion Is on the Way!

✒️We are thrilled to announce the promotion of this year’s edition of the NOVA Writing Pearls 2024, which will be held on May 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Secondary School library. This edition is a student’s testimony of pride, hope, leadership, and creativity. In an era of intensive, invasive, and intelligent technology, the students’ creativity soars above all with unique and colorful depictions and interpretations of the world.

CEESA Board of Directors Spring Meeting Marked by Success

✅Last week, our school hosted a group of international school directors, who gathered to discuss best international practices in education and provide an overview of the CEESA’s achievements in the past academic year. Their visit was a success as they didn't save their words of praise: "Great thanks to you and your staff, for organizing and hosting us for four or five wonderful days of sharing and learning from each other. You have an impressive school with NOVA, and the trip to Ohrid was an unforgettable experience. It was great fun, with a lot of time to talk."

Third-graders Learn about the Philharmonic and how to Organize  Concerts

🎹Who is responsible for preparing a concert? How long do the preparations take? Which instruments are included in the orchestra? Who invites the special guest stars to perform? These were just some of our curious third-grade students' questions during their visit. Moreover, they met the Philharmonic's technical manager, Zoran Stevanoski, and the sound engineer, Alen Hadzi Stefanov, who explained what their jobs entail.
