Macedonian keeps its place
Instruction is in English, with Macedonian language classes through the school. Students also choose French, German or Spanish. More than 20 languages are spoken across the community.

Football, basketball and volleyball, plus robotics, debate and knowledge bowl. Balance is a value here, not a slogan, so co-curriculars are built into school life.
The campus
A campus built for how students learn
NOVA's purpose-built campus sits near the center of Skopje, with a separate building for each school division and outdoor spaces used throughout the school day. Students have access to three gated playgrounds, a soccer field, basketball and volleyball/pickleball courts, and a large outdoor amphitheater.
Inside, the campus supports different ways students learn and work, with science laboratories, art rooms, libraries, music and dance studios, a design studio, and cafeterias. An adjacent sports center provides additional space for physical education, training, and school activities.

What families is NOVA for?
NOVA is a genuinely international school, with students from more than 40 nationalities and more than 20 languages spoken across the community. It is also a school for Macedonian families who want an international education for their child here at home, and they make up a large part of who we are.
What language is used in class?
Instruction is in English. Macedonian language classes are offered across the school, and students can also study French, German or Spanish.
Is there an entrance test?
Applicants to Grades 1 to 12 complete an interview and the NWEA MAP Admissions Screening Test in mathematics and reading. Students applying to PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten do not sit the assessment.
Can my child still sit the National Matura?
Yes. NOVA holds Ministry of Education recognition in North Macedonia and seniors sit the National Matura examination at school.
How big are the classes?
The school reports seven students for every member of faculty across more than 720 students, supported by 100 certified teachers.
What if we cannot meet the full tuition?
Families who are unable to meet the assessed tuition and fees can ask about a tuition adjustment. Financial assistance and the NOVA Boris Trajkovski Scholarship are both published on the admissions pages, and the team will walk you through what applies.
When does the school year run?
From late August through mid-June, in two semesters with scheduled breaks.
