An Active and Welcoming School Community 

Throughout the year, school events, student initiatives, parent activities, service projects, performances, and informal gatherings provide regular opportunities for our community to meet and participate.

Students Have a Say

Students contribute to school life through the Student Council and other student-led activities. They can raise ideas, represent their peers, organize initiatives, and take responsibility for projects that matter to them.

Student-led clubs, Service as Action initiatives, SuperNOVA athletics and activities, House competitions, and other activities provide various venues for students to participate, collaborate with others, and contribute to the school and wider community.

Families Are Part of School Life

The Parent-Teacher Association gives parents a practical way to get involved. Parents and teachers work together on social events, workshops, community service, fundraising, and initiatives that support NOVA families and campus life.

The PTA also supports families new to NOVA and Skopje. Its Family Ambassador Program connects new families with established NOVA families who can share practical experience of school and community life.

Staying Connected After NOVA

Graduation does not end a student's connection with the school. The NOVA Alumni Association keeps former students connected with the wider school community.

Alumni also share their experience with current students through guest visits, workshops, and career days, including perspectives on university study and life after NOVA.

 Coming Together

Some of the easiest ways to get to know a school community happen outside the regular school day.

Events throughout the year bring NOVA families, students, faculty, and staff together. Recent and established community activities include the Back-to-School BBQ, Family Festival, Fall Festival, Valentine’s Day, movie nights, PTA coffee mornings, faculty and staff appreciation events, performances, and other social and fundraising activities.

 

 

Giving BackStudents and families also participate in service and fundraising initiatives that address needs beyond the school campus. Through Service as Action, PTA initiatives, and other community projects, students and families can work with organizations and communities in the country.
