Our Elementary School recently came together for a warm and joyful assembly led by our student initiative, Beacons of Belonging.
With care and confidence, our students created a space to reflect on what friendship looks like in everyday school life. Through thoughtful moments and shared experiences, they highlighted the importance of respect, communication, teamwork, and simply being there for one another.
Beacons of Belonging continues to play an important role in strengthening our school spirit and helping students feel known, included, and valued within our community.
This assembly also offered a special opportunity to welcome Ms. Angela Speirs, who will join NOVA as Elementary School Director in August. Since 2023, she has served as Early Years Principal at the Canadian International School in Singapore, and brings a wealth of experience from her leadership roles in international schools across Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Cuba.
It was a meaningful moment of connection, bringing together student voice and future leadership in a way that reflects who we are as a community.
