Week Without Walls
Week Without Walls (WWW) takes learning beyond the classroom, giving students in Grades 6–11 opportunities to explore new places, connect with local communities, and strengthen relationships with one another. As an integral part of NOVA’s IB Programmes, WWW gives students space to put their learning into practice, using their Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile as they navigate new experiences together.
The program is organized by grade level, with students traveling as a cohort alongside their advisory teachers to different locations. Through these shared experiences, students are encouraged to be curious, contribute to the community, both close and wider, take responsibility, and grow in confidence and independence. For students who are unable to travel, NOVA offers a three-day Skopje-based program shaped around Creativity, Activity, and Service learning.
Each Week Without Walls experience is designed to give students a different way to learn, connect, and grow. Explore the information below to learn more about the program for each grade level.
Week Without Walls co-curricular learning model
Students need to understand the purpose of their engagement in the grade-level program. The WWW activities will be a part of the students’ school records. Namely, students will be marked as having successfully completed the program. If students do not complete the program, their school record will also reflect this.
